This kitchen is a great example pulling wood elements into the design without having existing wood floors. The designer incorporated wood into the butcher block, custom shelving in the bar area island base and wrap-around contrasting countertops.

Another contrasting feature in this kitchen is the bright white cabinets against dark appliances. Often people are afraid of black appliances feeling too dark and drab but in this kitchen the black stove and oven, hood and sink balance perfectly with the white cabinets and marble countertops. The gold hardware, lighting fixtures and accent pieces on the hood pull the look together.
